I just wanted to start a little segment called "Healthy Habits". I am starting to work out more and slowly change my diet around. So I will post different things here that I find useful and Healthy!
- My first one is NO POP. I have started recently trying NOT to drink many soft drinks. I have not had one in over 3 weeks. It may not seem like a long time for some but for me it is Major!!
- Drink LOTS of water. I am not a huge lover of just plain water... unless I am working out. So, I add Crystal Light to my water bottles. I have fallen in love with the Crystal Light Peach Tea. It is AMAZING!!
- I simply can't cut chocolate out of my diet. I love it too much . So I found a lovely substitution that has only 110 calories for the bars and 120 calories for the clusters. These are now my go to snack when I am in the mood for some chocolate. My favorite are the dark chocolate clusters! YUM
If you can't make it to the gym or do not have the extra money to spend on a gym membership here are a few tricks you can use at home.
- Elevated Pushups- put your feet on your couch and your hands on the floor and do elevated push-up.
- If you have resistance bands- place them under your feet and do squats on the couch. It will make you not cheat and go low enough- make sure your butt hits the couch.
- Put the resistance band around the leg of your couch and do flyaways. ( see video)
- Tricep work out using your couch. (see video)
